This policy explains how Paradido collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when people use our website, dashboard, profiles, booking, staffing, document, communication, payment and subscription tools.
Last updated: 23 June 2026
Plain-English summary
We use personal information to run Paradido, manage accounts, support childcare and staffing workflows, process payments, communicate with users, improve safety, meet legal obligations and protect the platform. Because childcare can involve children’s details, medical notes, emergency contacts and safeguarding information, please only provide information that is accurate and necessary.
1. Who is responsible for your information
Paradido is responsible for personal information processed through paradido.co.uk and our related services, unless a separate notice or agreement says another organisation is responsible. You can contact us through our contact page.

3. Information from other people
We may receive information from parents, guardians, childcare providers, businesses, staff applicants, referees, payment providers, communication providers, address lookup providers or other users of the platform. For example, a parent may add a child’s emergency contact, or a business may review staff applicants.
If you provide someone else’s personal information, you must have a lawful reason and authority to do so, and you should tell them that their information may be shared with Paradido.
4. How we use personal information
We use personal information to:

5. Lawful bases we rely on
Under UK data protection law, we only use personal information where we have a lawful basis. Depending on the context, we may rely on:
- Contract: to provide the services you request, manage accounts, bookings, subscriptions and support.
- Legitimate interests: to operate, secure, improve and promote Paradido, prevent misuse and support safe platform workflows.
- Consent: where we ask for consent, such as certain marketing, optional information or consent-based settings.
- Legal obligation: where we need to comply with law, tax, accounting, safeguarding, regulatory or court requirements.
- Vital interests: where processing is necessary to protect someone’s life or safety in an emergency.
Some childcare information may include special category data, such as health or medical details. We process this only where necessary and where an additional condition applies, such as explicit consent, vital interests, legal obligations, safeguarding reasons or substantial public interest grounds.
6. Children’s information
Paradido is designed for adults, parents, guardians, providers, staff and businesses. Children should not create their own Paradido accounts. Parents, guardians or authorised childcare users may provide children’s information where it is needed to arrange, manage or safeguard childcare.
We aim to collect only the child information needed for the relevant care, safety, booking or platform purpose. Please do not submit unnecessary details about a child.
7. Who we share information with
We may share personal information with:
- parents, guardians, childcare providers, staff applicants and businesses where needed for profiles, bookings, staffing requests, care arrangements, policies or communication;
- payment providers such as Stripe to process payments and subscription events;
- hosting, database, storage, email, SMS, notification, analytics, security, address lookup and support providers;
- professional advisers, insurers, auditors and legal representatives;
- regulators, safeguarding bodies, law enforcement, courts, public authorities or emergency services where required or appropriate;
- a buyer, investor or successor organisation if Paradido is involved in a business transfer, merger or restructuring.
We do not sell personal information.
8. Payments
Card and payment details are handled by payment providers such as Stripe. Paradido may receive limited payment references, billing status, customer identifiers, subscription identifiers, invoice events and payment outcome information so that we can manage your account and subscription.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the website working, remember preferences, support account sessions, measure performance, improve the service and protect against abuse. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Some cookies are needed for core features to work.
10. Marketing preferences
We may send updates about Paradido where permitted by law. You can opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link where provided or by contacting us. We may still send important service, account, booking, payment, security or legal messages.
11. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, comply with legal duties, support safeguarding, prevent fraud and enforce agreements.
Retention periods vary depending on the type of information. For example, account and booking records may be kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards; payment and accounting records may be kept for tax and financial reporting requirements; safeguarding or dispute records may be kept where needed to protect people or handle legal claims.
12. Security
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls, secure hosting, encrypted communications where appropriate and operational security practices. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure, so please use strong passwords and keep your account details private.
13. International transfers
Some suppliers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we take steps designed to protect personal information, such as using appropriate contractual protections or other safeguards required by law.
14. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your personal information. You may also have the right to data portability and to withdraw consent where we rely on consent.
